I was first exposed to yoga during my sophomore year in high school. Yoga was a PE elective and from day one I was hooked. In the following years, I was the yoga instructor's assistant, often leading classes.
The summer after high school was spent at Prana Yoga Center in La Jolla, California. I received my training from renowned instructor, Gerhard Gessner. In addition, I completed my Organizational Leadership degree at Arizona State University.
With the world class training I received from Prana Yoga Center, I became a RYT 200 with Yoga Alliance. In the summer of 2019, I achieved my RYT 300 in Austria with Dylan Werner. This exclusive training event was limited to 25 people from around the world and I was one of only two practitioners from the USA. I felt very fortunate to have participated in this amazing training and certification process. Dylan Werner is an exceptional leader in the global yoga community and it was the privilege of a lifetime to be his student.
My first yoga teaching position was at the YMCA in Monument, Colorado. In addition I provided yoga sessions for some corporate clients as part of their employee health and wellness programs.
Building on this foundation I have expanded into private in-home lessons for individuals, couples and families. I also began conducting private events for larger groups like family reunions, sports teams, and corporate or organizational departments. Beyond this, we had a lot of fun doing goat yoga! During warmer months back in Colorado, I conducted weekly sessions in the rolling hills at the foot of the Rockies. This unique practice was enthusiastically embraced, with every class selling out quickly.
I am very excited to have moved to Scottsdale, Arizona in the summer of 2020 and am actively expanding my yoga practice.
